Hello, friends! I’m Pierro and I am so honored to share with you some of my experiences with Delmar! I’m originally from Edmonton then I moved here just a week before I started school back in November. I didn’t really have any background knowledge in hair styling except for knowing how to cut my own hair. I essentially learned from watching YouTube videos and practicing on myself. I was asked by a number of my friends if I could tuck their hair. So after they realized my potential, my friends encouraged me to go to hair school and make it my career – so I said why not! It was so strange at first going back to school but once I stepped foot into Delmar and after a few awkward conversations with everyone in my class, I knew instantly that I would enjoy it here!
Drills, drills, drills! They weren’t the easiest at first but I’m grateful for them because it taught me all about the techniques and how to hold and use tools in ways I never thought we could. After being in class learning theory and drills, it was so exciting to be on the floor! I was able to style, educate, transform and make all of my clients feel and look good!

I’ve always been in love with hair and fashion so when I found out that Delmar students are partnered up with Numa (See above photos), I couldn’t wait to volunteer and show my creativity and have my work be published! It brings me joy seeing that my work is not only being recognized by the public but also being loved.
My time with Delmar has been nothing but good times! It’s really bittersweet only having 2 months of school left. But I’m so grateful that I got to learn so much from each and everyone of my instructors and I can’t wait to apply all that I’ve learned after school!
Shouts out to my class for being one of my amazing supporters and friends!
No gimmicks just great education
