Where is Brittany now?

“I graduated from the stylist program in November 2016 and was offered a job at Hairbenders in Airdrie, where I still am today! I currently work with 20+ other stylists in a very team orientated environment. Bev Morros, who owns Hairbenders has owned this salon for 25 years! Throughout the years, she has been a huge supporter of Delmar College and has hired 26 of their graduates with 3 more going this year (how cool is that!?!?!) This is a genuine reflection of the education and mentorship we have all received graduating from Delmar!”

What Brittany does…

A good 80% of my clientele is blonde and I’ve really found this to be my niche’ – my best work has always been working within delicate tones. I am currently booking 6 weeks out for all color appointments, which has really created a demand for pre-booking their appointments.
I try to keep a fairly active presence on Instagram by show casing my work and have gained quite a lot of my business from posting my previous work, education I am taking, any cancellations I may have had or current products I am obsessing over.

It is my understanding that a stylist with a full clientele, on a 6-week rotation will service about 250 people. Seems intimidating initially, but there are plenty of clients to go around #wealthmentality.

This career choice has been a great addition to my life. My husband’s position can be demanding at times – mine offers flexibility for our family, while still acting as a creative outlet.

Currently, ‘Lived in Hair’ is trending and are assumed to be ‘Low Maintenance’ styles, which can throw off our timing and books as we challenge the low maintenance aspect – Making it as important as ever to stay a pace ahead of the majority and maintain our education. The best stylists never stop learning.
